What is this problem??????
What is this problem?????? okay original i thought it was distributor related know i think it's not getting enough fuel. I went to start it up which i hadn't done in 3 days. Well it started up and immediatly diedi then had to pump the gas to start it up the next few time's. After i reved good it got going and idled at 500rpm. I'm pretty sure it's not a spark problem anymore. Maybe the feul pump. what are some other people's opinions.
okay after i started it up about 15mins ago i went start it up and move it forward's. Well it started up fine at 1000rpm then dropped to 900 then to 600rpm and stayed there. how do i check the fuel pressure and how many pounds of pressure would i be looking for
Go get an EFI pressure gauge, there around 45.00 or so at O'Reilly's, i'm sure you have a pump issue, thats what it sounds like, it should prime (key on) at around 40 psi, at idle it should be between 42-47 psi, i'll bet you don't get that.

Verdad Gallardo 1. check manifold vacuum.
2. Key ON, Prime, check reading, turn key off, see if it bleeds down quick (it shouldn't). Bleed off the pressure.
3. Fire it up with vacuum line disconnected, see where its at at idle, rev it up, the preasure should stay steady.
4. while running, hook hose back up, pressure should drop 6-8 psi but stay steady.
It should still run with 37 psi, mine ran with 28, didn't run great, but it never stalled or jurked around, just felt lazy.
okay when i turned the car on not running but prime it went to 42 psi but after i heard the pump go off it went back to 37 psi same with when istarted the car 37 psi. It didn't bleed of any pressure when it went from 42 to 37 and it held there at 37psi
Whats the pressure doing while running? I don't think the pressure should drop at all under prime, mine primes to 41 psi & stays there, then goes to 45 when started once vacuum hits the reg., so if its not jumping up once started, somethings not working right i wouldn't think, it could be vacuum to the reg., reg. itself, pump, filter, or a leaky injector, i had to familiarize myself with this car, they are really fairly simple (when it comes to the basics), i need you to tell me what your manifold vacuum is & if there is a vacuum port hooked to the reg.!! I'll try & help the best i can.
Once i let he car prime it'll go to 42 but after you hear the pump kick off it goes to 37 if you start it up it'll run at 37 idle. Where is the vacuum you like at, does this mean ineed a vacuum gauge to
Yes, you'll need a vacuum gauge, i am getting 21-22 on my 97, the port is on the pass side of the manifold (around the middle), it runs to the reg., i have an aftermaket adj. reg. i just bought, i like it, it adjusts with an allen key, i have my pressure (WOT) at 54 psi & it loves it, 45-46 on vacuum, i'm not even cammed, just bolt-ons.
yes there is one hooked to the manifold, it run's at 19psi when it first started up it was at 17. Since it has low vaccuum with everthing it controls what could it be, it does run to the regulater

It should be on the back fuel rail in the back behind the manifold, too the right of where the fuel tester port is, just follow that vacuum line, it should lead you right to it, make sure the hose doesn't have any holes in it, also make sure you don't have any vacuum leak also. Disconnect that vacuum line & see where the pressures at (with engine running), it should be around 45 psi or there abouts.
i checked the the vaccuum port that's on the driver side of the manifold. While running it test at 17psi once it warmed up a little bit it hit 19psi. I found the regulator. From there what should i do
i noticed one thing though that my pcv hose that's wright by the hose i test is hooked to the opti spark hose. i mean it come's out in a U like this
