Hey, i just got off work, i'm sure i can walk you through this, Now, that pic you showed doesn't look like the reg., that valve has something to do with the evap. canister. The reg. is in the back RH side behind the intake on the fuel rail, here are a couple pix i took for you in my book, the first pic shows where its located (notice how i mark with a marker), the next pic shows it as its on the fuel rail, you will notice the vacuum port on the end of the reg. canister, if you look to the right of this pic, you will see where the pressure valve is where you hooked up the pressure gauge, as you can see, they are close to each other, i want you to check FUEL PRESSURE with that vacuum line disconnected from the regulator, let me know what it reads at idle & reving it up.

I just performed that test on my car. Key on primed, 0 psi. Prime 6 more times, roughly 8 psi. I attempt to start it, it slowly comes to life bouncing around from 15-20 psi then finally fires and idles at 46 psi. Guage taped on window and WOT yeilds it dropping to 25 psi, as soon as the car is turned off, 0 psi. Yay new fuel pump!

I'm going to post a pic up and see if you happen to know what it is cause i don't have a clue it did have vacuum line's hooked up to it though

i also took the car out for a spin with that port unhooked ran fine. I took it for another drive with it hooked up ran fine to. put it in a gear that would bog the motor down got on it and it didn't sputter or miss out none. It ran fine both way's but while setting still the car still idle at 750rpm if i was in netreul and the car was moving 30 or 40ish it stayed idling at 975rpm. The first time i test drove it with the hose unhooked it did idle roughly but evened out after a few second's. But otherwise then the low idle it's running good again
