Honestly, I wasn't really worried about the hood. I wans't even pissed when it happened. I planned to get a SLP Ultra Z hood anyway, I just don't have the money.

Agreed. This is what I did also. I cannot stand re-aligning hoods, I've done that too many times and all it does is **** me off

Its out! Didn't take the hood off, had to barely twist it to get it out. Did have to remove the bell housing, seems the lever that attaches to the throw out bearing doesn't allow you just pull it out, so had to detach that.

props to you bro...yea i thought i would let you know that bell housing needed to come off before you had the motor up..it wouldve been a pain in the *** for you if you didnt take it off...i was putting my new motor and trans in and had the bellhousing on the motor and i had to completely sit it down and pretty much start over...it sucked...btw what are you putting back in there?? did you use my other trick? the comalong?

Hmm didn't need the come a long. Sticking another LT1 in there, at least this one isn't leaking out of every surface. Hotcam, forged rods/pistons, nothing crazy.

Just put mine in from the top,bought car w/o motor,I tool all the cowl covering around the windshield wipers and trimmed about 3/4 of the cowl metal back in the center. This gave me plenty of room to drop it in.

Yeah, if I can get assistance next weekend I hope to put it back in. Should get my clutch setup middle of next week or so.
