Default Wiper Blades--SERIOUSLY?

Wow this one pissed me off---just went to wal-mart to get wiper blades...the 24inch anco straight blade was fine on the driver side, albeit a little loose on the j clip. However, the passenger side blade didn't even touch the windshield. Took it back and went to auto zone, they told me that I needed a curved blade, fine--I bought the $20 rain-x curved blade. Still no fit. Returned it and they told me that I needed to get the Anco specialty blade that was made to fit the car--then told me they didn't carry them anymore. Great! You'd think they could at least use a standard wiper blade. Looked online and they want 28 bucks for one shipped?

Do any of the other chains carry the blades still?

Pepboys (may be a northeast thing) has them at my local one sitting on the shelf. They say "24in CAMARO" on them.

Anco part# 22-24 the j-hook is upside down on the f-body, it takes a special blade.

I noticed the wiper arm tension in my arms are loose now also (resulting in the blades not touching the windshield completely (especially the lower left corner of the windshield). Is it possible to fix the spring in the arms or whatever or does GM even sell new ones anymore (or any aftermarket companies?)

I changed my arms over to LS style, with the "correct" J-hook and installed Bosch Icon blades (not available for the inverted J-hook of the LT years). I went shorter on the right side. Very happy windshield in the rain.

if you have a 93-97 and your blade misses the window you have the wrong blades. Our cars have the upside down hook and only takes 1 special type of 24". Your basic 24" blade wont work.

I definitely have the right blades, but if you look at the base of the wiper arm its not holding down tension on the windshield like it should

I got my replacement wiper arms and blades through Autozone. They work fine, but there is a section about 6"x4" that it completely misses on the bottom left.

I bought Michelin brand standards and i bent the metal blade frame. Works perfect minus the fact that the rubber noise bushings on the wiper motor are now shot and the motor slaps around in the firewall making all kinds of noise.

Go to a GM dealer and get a new set of blades then just get refills for them whenever the rubbers go bad. They will work perfect and cost around $50 for two

I think I was confused by the blades last time I switched but, didn't even think twice.. just bent them a bit and was in business. Never knew wiper blades could be so complicated. hahaa...

That's what I did and no problems here. If I remember right, they were $8 or $9 each.
