Default Crossroads

So here I sit at a crossroad. I am in the process of taking a part the LT1 car to figure out why it was ticking and feeling like it was trying to shake the motor apart. Problem is i also have my LS1 that I love, But for reason I would rather keep the LT1 and just build her up. Kinda figuring that while i have the heads and intake off I might as well do a port and polish on them. Just gotta get the money for it. Now, What would all of you do. Keep the already modded LT1 or keep the damn near bone stock LS1? I love my Trans Am, but for some reason the Formula seems to catch my eye more than the TA whenever they are side by side. Plus the 'dumdumdumdumdum has 20k less on the clock.

I ask this with all bullshit aside and yes I know the LS1 is the better motor, but for some stupid reason i love my LT1 lol.

I guess your formula came first? That's probably why. If you've already got a head-start on a car, no matter whether it was an LT1 or LS1 i'd say stick with the one you already have begun modding

drive the LS1 and you become an invisible member in a sea of followers. drive the LT1 and you are laughed at by said followers and 3-valve mustang alike but you don't care because you love the car. besides, they only laugh until you hit the loud pedal.

Send it to me and when you get it back you will be eating LS1's for lunch. The LT1 can handle WAY MORE POWER if you got the brass/cash to force feed it.

Laughed at? Well I am the only one laughing, I ran a 07 Lingenfelter Z06 from 55 mph to 164 mph ( his decisions to roll instead of a dig) and I had him by at least 5 car lengths...and I was the one laughing...

Any yes mine is forced to make the power

Id say keep both, but Im biased

Just pick the car you like the most, with the current aftermarket parts you could achieve whatever you want with either LS or LT. Especially if your planning on going forced induction anytime soon.

The real question is how much are you willing to spend on it?

I can't keep both cause i can't afford them anymore. Money won't be an issues once i really start, but that is going to be awhile now.

Theres no better feeling then having that stupid grin on your face when buddy pulls up in his new new mustang and you run em at the lights. Only for him to find out he just got taken out by a 11 or older year car/motor. Ive never seen someone get that mad in a car over a race in my life haha. Good times.... <3 lt1
