Default Going from m6 to a4

I did a search and didnt rly come up with the answers to my questions .

I have a 93 with a m6 swapped into it. I built a 700r4 for my last car before I put it in. Now the harness in the car looks to have the m6 plug ins as well as the automatic since both plugs are hanging there.
Will I have to get a new chip burned in order to swap the trans over.

As well. I have the cross member and shifter and pedals for the 700 though will the torque arm mount work off the m6 to the a4 tail shaft? I am looking to make this as easy of a swap as possible as I am sick of driving m6

Well.... youll be really bored driving an auto. I made that mistake once.

Well the 700r4 was the first trans that I built and I want to know it works and I keep having clutch issues with my t56 so I want to at least track the car this summer and Ill tear into the t56 and rebuild it this winter proly. Right now I just put in a lt4 clutch set up in it and its already chattering like crazy so I am just saying **** it. Ive driven my car for a week this summer.

Sorry bro but that comment is not only stupid but doens't apply to all auto's. Get a custom auto built w/ a stall and shift kit and they kick ***. Not only that they OWN all at the strip if you build the car right. You must have had a stock A4 My ***** rowdy as hell and I put the spank down on M6 all the time!

Mine has the B and M kit with the semi manual kit in it. So I think I should have some fun

Anyone know what I can and can not use between the two>?

Can't help you out there but put a set of 3.73's on that beast and a stall and you will have a sleeper from the dig!!!

Got them in already . I think I need to update my sig lol

Its kinda like my flowmaster I always drive with the cut out open ( or used to )
and I took my dad for a ride in the car and hes like I like the flowmaster its decent and you can sneak up on ppl, I cant wait to get a magnaflow

If you still want to keep the t56 I have a Mcleod street twin for sale. I went back to auto 700r4 built with stall. Dropped my time by .5 sec. Can't out shift the auto. Either way, good luck.

Never said a 6spd was faster or quicker. But they do put more power to the ground and Daily driving a built auto gets old fast.
In my 00 formula I had a trans go shift kit and a 3400 stall Vig. I missed my 6spd every time I drove it. Although I never got it to the track with the TC, then sold the car over the winter for a truck.
But hey to each their own!
BTW it was not a stupid comment it was a personal pref. statement.

Saying that someone other then yourself would get bored with a auto is a stupid comment because you have no idea what he or she enjoys. Your right on one part..to each is own.

Now that that is over and this doesnt become a banter thread,

Will the tq arm mount off the t56 work on the 700r4? I know I am forgetting alot but I am sure there has to be more to it than going from a4-t56

you can get a trans mount the will let you relocate the TA from UMI, BMR, etc. If it doesnt work wich is what you should do anyways. Not sure if the clam shell is there on the 700
