Weight reduction.

For a street car, I'd leave the door bars and rear bumper.
If nothing else other than to protect you from "the other guy"
I don't think the cage is sufficient to replace the door bar.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't like being Tboned and having the offending car land in my lap.
Front bumper support can go though. Takin' weight off where it matters the most.
Airbags as well since you have a 5pt and cage.

IF you had a 5 point cage and race styled seats with harness.... Do you really NEED airbags?!?! Assuming that your wearing your seat belt/harness, I would tend to think they're not really needed. I mean, if you have a harness on and can still hit your head on the windshield or steering wheel, you got issues. hehe..

Guess it depends which seat you go with. I'm in the same boat, have manual cloth seats, the Corbeau Forza I put in doesn't seem to weigh any less than the stocker. I wasn't really shooting too bad for weight with the seat anyway, I just wanted a seat to keep me where I belong.
Perhaps if I used Corebeau's sliders it would have been lighter, I had the stock bracket modified instead.

Well I only have the one for the driver side. I think the front bolts lined up, in the back he welded more metal on and drilled new holes, hmm its been about 3 months so I forget exactly. I know I wanted to be able to tilt the seat up and down like stock, so I have got the seat right where I want it. It was a pain in the *** to get in. The stock passenger seat just about fell into place, even with the roll bar, I guess cause the back could fold.
Well I could try to get a picture under it tommarow to see if it can be seen what he did.

Well I'm thinking of deleting the 5mph bumpers, the crash bars in the doors, and going to a lightweight battery. Some people have recommended not deleting said items on a street car. What is your opinion? I'm hoping to offset the added weight of the roll bar that is in the car, and the nitrous setup.
Do the bumpers offer any sort of side benefit? Or pretty much at higher speeds they don't do jack?

Remove all of what you're thinking about taking out and more.
The door bars are considerably more than that. I've taken at least 21.35 lbs out of my doors.
I did a whole write up on how to take weight out of your doors:

Power leather seats are 40 lbs each. Power clothe seats are 30 lbs each. Most kirkeys with covers are around 11 lbs each. Most aftermarket seats tell you how much they weigh on their sites.
Here's a list of everything I've removed from my 93 so far.
Front Bumper Support = 25.375 lbs
Fog lights and brackets = 4.0625 lbs
Cruise control, cable, and throttle cable cover = 4.4375 lbs
Air pump and brass fittings = 5.9375 lbs
Stock horns = 1.875 lbs
Stupid siren and loud horn = 2.5 lbs
Stock Y pipe and single cat = 21.1875 lbs
Frame horns = 5.125 lbs
Fender metal = 1.25 lbs
Rear Seatbelts = 4.1375 lbs
Aftermarket Speaker Wiring (will be added to considering there is a ton more of it) = .25 lbs
Carpet = 29.0375 lbs
Windshield washer fluid resevoir with water = 8.0625 lbs
Heat shields beneath the car = 2.1875
Soon to be useless exhaust hangers = 2.00 lbs
Rear Seats = 22.4375 lbs
Random exhaust hangers, brackets, nuts, and bolts = 9.25 lbs
Front Speakers = 2.75 lbs
Rear Speakers = 3.25 lbs
Front Speaker Brackets = 1.25 lbs
Interior brackets including (rear seat brackets, antenna bracket, rear seat belt brackets) = 3.875 lbs
Security System Hood Lock = 2.6875 lbs
Antenna + Wire (not including the actual metal rod) = .25lbs
Stock catback = 50.1875lbs
Rear Armrests = 4.21875lbs
Extra Metal Trimmings = 1.00lbs
Emergency Brake System = 12.125lbs
Door Fiberglass = 1.90625 lbs
Door Crash Bars and Brackets = 17.5625 lbs
Window Regulator Metal = 1.8846535171744791666666666666667 lbs
Driver's Air Bag = 3.625 lbs
Passenger's Air Bag = 9.46875
Heater Core (empty) = 1.03125
AC Tube = .09375
Black Mat = 10.03125 lbs
Airbag Crash Sensors = 1.53125 lbs
Mat That is Underneath the Dash Pad = 2.34375 lbs
Heater Core Hoses = 2.0125 lbs
Front Sway Bar = 15.09375
Plastic Shrouding = 4.968749
Grand total to this point = 302.259699 lbs + all the stuff I still have to either cut out or weigh.
Have you ever looked at the door bars? A 1 5/8 th moly tube is stronger and has a greater tensile strength. It's going to work much better in a crash than the door bars.

Yeah, I definitely see way more people on bikes (not motorcycles, obviously) not paying attention than say truckers.... But those smart car drivers, you watch out for them.
And I am definitely going to have to save that info somewhere Beaflag, thats some good stuff. I wish I had bought the Firehawk stock so I could actually weigh up all the stuff I have taken out (or other people). But the Firehawk isnt getting gutted, she just lost some weight this summer

Beaflag, again I say, I was just trying to make a point. Just seems like a kind of needless weight reduction forh a mostly street driven car. Some of the things like the spare tire and 5mph bumper are no brainers, remove those bitches. I just don't see the need to remove the door bars, unless you have a straight drag car that you trailer everywhere.

Leave the bars in the doors, drop the bumper supports, rip out all the pading and insullation in the carpet or buy some lightweight stuff.
Heres a great lightweight batt.

Pick up the tender too.

I don't think a lot of people in this thread have ever looked at the door bars before judging by their comments. The bar doesn't sit directly against the door. There's some space in there and quite a bit more on Pontiacs. If someone in anything, semi, truck, car, bike, kid on a scooter, etc... was to hit you hard enough to damage the door it's going to. My friend's daughter ran head on into his car two days after he painted it on here bike and dented the door.
This argument is going to be pointless for all eternity until those who have not taken a signifigant amount of weight out of their car feals what it's like when your car is 100+ lbs lighter. It's easier on parts, makes your car handle, accelerate, and brake better. Not to mention it's by far the most cost effective way to make your car faster.
The thing is that all the small things add up. I have 17 items on the list of things I've removed that are under 3 lbs. That adds up to 26.91875 lbs. When you can take 21 lbs out of the door easily and have a 1-5/8 moly tube running right by your side why not?

For those of you that think the door bars are really going to do something in a major crash I present to you a car that hit a telephone poll directly in the door:
The door completely bent it half in the middle V style and basically stabbed the driver. They had to cut the door and roof off with the jaws of life to get him out. The driver suffered two broken legs, fractured vertebrae, and broken ribs.

According to Corbeau's website, the Forza's weigh 19 lbs, plus whatever your modified bracket will end up weighing. So if Kirkley's weigh around 11 like guessed, then you could loose a few more pounds there. I like my seat though. I'd only do the Kirkley if I were towing it everywhere. I suppose due to ease of removal/install, I may start to take the passenger seat out from now on before I head out to the track.
Beaflag, I bookmarked the page you linked, if I decide to tackle the doors that should be all the info one would ever need, I hope. Thanks!
I'll have to see how loud it is with the dumped 4" bullet, I may or maynot cut all the sound deadner from the carpet.
