Thanks everyone...

Yeah OK so here are some of the answers and probablly out of order...

Yes, yes, no, hell yeah...

Ok for the real scoop:
It weighed in at 2835# after the following run, I was too excited after this one to think about hitting the scales so maybe add another 5# for the additional gal. of gas...

DA was just under 1000', temps around 75* at the time of the run.

As for the exhaust, I pulled the muffler it normally has a dumped dynomax bullet, so for right now the exhaust consists of PS headers and ORY, that was it, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten below the 2850# I was shooting/hoping for...

As for getting it this light, hell of a lot of weight reduction, not quite driving around in a shell but it is getting damn close to it. Hell, I still have a few weight reduction things to do but can't afford it right now, and after that it will be a race only car, so it may wait a little while...

As for picking up the MPH, I didn't really pick up that much, I was in the low to mid 115's all summer long, so it was only 2.5 MPH and that is about right with the ammount of weight I pulled off the front and rotating mass reduction...

I know ther are more questions that I missed I will try and read over everything, but thanks again everyone. It has been a long hard road, and just glad I have gotten to where I am now, and I will try and push it deeper as the weather cools off, and the negative DA comes around...

OK so these are the ones it looks like I missed responding to part of...

did you step down to the 26's? still got stock injectors? stock t/b?

how did you gain 5 mph? pm if necessary
yeah I have 26" tires back on it, but haven't fully optimized the shift points with them yet... injectors and TB are completely stock and the bolts for then have never been loosened...

I hit on the 5 MPH question in my last post, but to recap, I only picked up about 2.5 MPH from previous runs, more then likely from locking the converter (at a certain speed ) but that could be speculation because I have not tried running with it unlocked recently...

Spend all day going over a gutted car trying to find the bottle.
That is what I like about running in a N/A race series, they actually look over the cars to make sure there is no funny stuff going on, it is pretty much backed up by the series tech officials that I am on the up and up. But Hell, even though the car is MOSTLY gutted, there are still soo many places in my car that I could still hide junk if I really wanted to, but why ruin my rep with the race series for something like that. Although I do think it would be funny to see someone try and look for something since they convinced themselves that it must be there because there is no way it is legit, those guys just crack me up, LOL...

those are good times for sure but it should be called a bolt off record for all the stuff u have to take off to run those times there,s more bolt offs then boltons lets here some legit fullbolton numbers daily drivers full weight for the other 99.9 percent who dont want to tear apart there car and here i thought taking out my back seat sparetire and jack were a lot of weight reductions whats next lt1s on gocarts bolton record i may try that one myself lol/

Congrats! That is flying for a bolt on LT1. 118 trap speed is beyond impressive. Great job! Just don't go any quicker or they'll make you get a roll bar and add weight to your car

My wife and I were discussing that a lot at the track the other day, and since I want to upgrade the motor in the future anyway we might just put the cage in over the winter, with working the numbers of stuff I can still take off, plus adding the cage, I may only add very little weight back into it. Like maybe 10-15#

But then it would have that stripped out racer car look and I would get more crap about it not being a street car...

Either way only time will tell what we do, but don't worry I will try and lower the record a little more before the end of the season, just in case, LOL...

Do you have any pictures of what the car looks like? I might be able to point out some stuff you could take out.

people sayin stuff about the bolt off isnt right...its all fair not our fault ur car weights more because its t-tops ahd leather...it would never be a fair field...he has the record and if your upset then beat it fair and square...

street car or not get it as light as you can and go faster it doesnt matter...no stipulations say it has to be a street car?
