New bolt-on LT1 record
fyi if you do this though im pulling my motor sticking in a stocker and goana have to beat them all...
I dont think anyone is going to touch you 11.50 for a while unless you break it. Nice job, thats ******* fast.
For those wanting "more of a normal car"(whatever) this is the first one in the 11s. It was done in 03.

a_z28_vance, DA on the 1st 11 second pass was -1629 and -1966 on the 2nd 11 sec pass. Thank God I was able to dead hook or that awesome air would have been wasted.
As for weight reduction... nothing out of the ordinary... run skinnies (full time), dropped front sway bar, pulled jack & spare, pulled my 36Lb subwoofer out, and rear seat. Car is equipped with a BMR K-member. The carpet, insulation, front seats, AC, etc are still on and working as are all the other accessories.
Steve...
lose another 20 pounds maybe and gain a bunch gear...

I am still a stock motor from throttle body to front of y-pipe, this would be very handy in continuing the great impression my LT1 is making.
AND, Congrats on the #'s John

Tony, yeah the 2835 was with me in the car and I am ~200 myself...
For those asking about nitrous, I don't have any, the sig images is from the special Nitro Dave was doing for the free giveaways and I have been too busy working on the car to make a new one...
For a full list of mods you can check out the link Shon gave for his while I get mine together, I am sure if I have them posted around here somewhere too. Just off the top of my head I have: high flow home made ram air CAI, home ported stock MAF housing, intake track is straight so no elbow to worry about, TB bypass, 1.6 RR's, PS LT headers, PS ORY, CSR E-water pump, 160* t-stat, mail order tune from PCM for less that I got many years ago and have been tweaking myself at the track, a damn well built 4l60e that has been treating well for many years now, 3.73 gears in a slightly fortified (welded tubes, and a support girdle) stock 10 bolt, and a good deal of weight reduction. I have probably forgoten somethings, but that is the gist of it...
Any other questions, feel free to ask...

As far as what's left, I still have a lot of things to do to help but no money. The cool thing is I got to where I am on almost no budget, doing things slowly, and cheeply, and that includes things like making my own parts and doing my own tuning...
Parts/power mods still left to do are:
- suspension MOSTLY DONE
- gears MOSTLY DONE, just have 3.73's
- TB
- dynotune
- and probably a few more...
As far as weight goes I still have a few little things I can still remove in the future like:
- door bars DONE
- washer tank/pump DONE
- hood and hatch shocks DONE
- center console DONE
- horns, or at least one of them DONE
- underhood wiring for items no longer in use (the first list) DONE
Plus the things that I need money for:
- front suspension (K-member, A-arms, and etc.) PARTIALY DONE, just lower A-arms
- lightweight brakes, front and rear PARTIALY DONE, just the front
- ABS delete kit DONE
- Fibreglass hood
- manual rack
- manual brakes DONE
- aftermarket coolant overflow DONE
- lightweight seat DONE
After and if I ever get to the point all that above is done, I will start cutting:
- Frame horns
- interior brackets (mounts for rear seats, seatbelts, and etc.)
- subfenders DONE
- and misc, swiss cheesing
I'm sure there are things I have missed but that is most of it...

You never answered me about going to Darlington Dragway this fall/winter to run the cars. Think you might be up for it?
What level CPT trans are you running? That's a helluva advertisement for them and Herron Performance...lol. Another thing: correct me if I'm wrong but for the "bolt on record", the heads cannot be ported at all?
Keep doin it man. You're making all of us LT1 boys proud!
