So I did a spec stage 2 clutch on my car... and i figured while im in there i should re-do the ujoints. I went to a shop to get the ujoints put in (i dont have a press and i dont trust my vice/hammer skillz)... and I told him to balance it for funsies. Well, it was way the fk off... with factory weights. so he took off a few weights to balance it out. Now, NO MORE HIGH SPEED SHAKING!! yaaaaaaaaa.
Moral of the story, if u pull out your driveshaft for some reason, GET IT BALANCED!

Both of the 95 Z28s I've spent a lot of time on (my own and my friend's) had really bad driveshafts. I'm still running it in my car, I really have to replace that when I can. I'll probably end up waiting until I can put a rear end w/ custom driveshaft in it though.

Years ago there was a TSB put out for a balance problem with the stock steel driveshaft. The solution was to replace with a 1LE aluminum shaft. I took full advantage of this even though I had to fight tooth and nail even though I had the TSB number and bulletin on paper and they looked it up and located it themselves through their database.
