my situation is this. when i picked my 94 z up i blew the trans not long after. the guy i got it from sai dhe had the shift points changed when he got it tuned. at WOT with the old trans is would redline for a while..not shift..then shift. if you let off a hair or so it shifts. under normal loads its shifts fine. then i blew it and put a 700hp rated 4L60E trans in it from a company called tranzparts in florida. i am having the same situation with the new trans. at first i thought the new trans would fix it..but it hasn't...so how possible is it the shift points were tuned wrong and who should i go to to re-do them.

In my experience with A4 cars. There is no need to move up the shift points if your just a bolt on or small H/C car. The only reason I see to move the shift points up is if your still making power past 6000 and need it to shift higher. I had my shift points set back to factory settings after I experienced the same issue as you are facing. Problem went away, and I gained .4 in the quater.

Stall wall......search under that and you will find your answer.

i used Tunercat. But you can use any of the mail order tunes around.

Stall Wall wouldnt be this case b/c it doesnt have a problem getting up to speed just shifting. If it were the stall wall it would start the car out in 3rd gear. And that would be a big issue that you couldnt miss.

go to a dyno shop...i would imagine they could do it for you...they should have the right programs
