What size gears did you guys go with after 6 speed swap

Default What size gears did you guys go with after 6 speed swap

Im trying to figure out what size gears to go with after i did my swap i have 3.23 and im wondering if i should go with 3.73 or 4.10 i have all bolt ons full exhaust and ms3 cam

i would go with a 4:10 gear. thats what i am doing i am fixin to start my ls1/m6 swap and am going 4:10

i have 373s and its *not enough* for me i am going 4:10s of bigger...

im still on my 3.23s. its good for me........ a roll of 45mph to 0.6 mile.......
specialy for zo6`s (ls6)


Plus im always on street never went to the track

3.73 here... good for street..go with 4.10's if u're always on track

Write up a quick spreadsheet calculator, or grab one off the web. It should tell you what MPH range each trans gear will run through with a given tire/RPM/rear-gear.

Then you can make your decision based on your car and your needs, not those of others that might not be the same as yours.

(I put 3.42s in my 12bolt, so I could hit 150mph on the Pocono front straight, in 4th gear, not having to shift to 5th and setup for a 5->3 downshift onto the hard right-hander... ;-) Probably no one else would be interested in 3.42s :-p )
