Default cracked tailhousing

So I was at the track yesterday. made 9 passes. 6 of them were on a 150 shot and 3 na. My 60's were between 1.57-1.70 depending(track was bad).

When I got home my car was bleeding all over. there is a big crack on the drivers side of the tailhousing. Any idea what could have caused this?I have a tunnel mount torque arm already.

Can you tell where the crack radiated from (starting point)? If your drive shaft is jumping and/or your yoke support bearing is worn, you can crack the tail during hard launches. There's a few threads on here about the "anti-wobble" yoke bearing that RSG sells.

It really depends on where its cracked and how bad it is . I usually just replace them since its not worth the risk of running the unit low on fluid and burning it up .

UPDATE

found the reason for the breakage. I twisted the splines in my Spicer slip yoke causing it to not slide on the tailshaft.
