Default Simple question: What gears are best for roll racing?

I have a 2001 WS6 M6 right now. I think it has 3.73 gears. 70mph in sixth is around 1,500 rpm, if that helps to confirm what gears I have. I'm wondering whether 4.10's would help me or hurt me in a roll race from around 40-50mph up to 130 or so.

Thanks in advance,
Rich

If your car has the orig. gears they are 3.42s.

I would get 4.10s and worry more about going from a dig

If you insist on rollracing, the 4.10s would be pretty steep because you would need to shift into 5th to see 130 mph unless you have a super high rev limiter.

Alright, I'll probably stick with stock for now, or go with 4.10's when I give up my "" roll racing. I'll probably start hitting up the track when I'm 18 and don't need notarized parental forms.

You would be able to get your power down faster. I'm going with 3.89's in my car, I feel sorry for the clown that wants to go from a 60-up race..

gears would make a m6 car pretty deadly in a roll race and from a dig...

4.10 over 3.42 isn't that big of a leap, if you had a 6500 rev limiter, 109 mph vs 91mph at the top of 3rd gear... and consider you can just into 4th and basically go to about 125mph... still got 5th for some pull too and now some of 6th (technically 5 and 6 are overdrive and not meant for pulling, but who are we kidding, we can pull up to 160mph just fine stock in 5th gear...)

Think of it this way too... if you are both willing to "roll race" to 160mph+, then both of you are deserving of whatever dumbass thing that may happen in the process...

If I get a run on the highway, I'll run it to the end of 4th, and that's about 128mph.
