Given the information detail you've supplied, I can definitely say maybe...

Many variations of T-56's. The most common swap onto a SBC is the LT1 version, and it's well documented. Also depends on you vehicle. A SBC in a 69 camaro would have diff needs than a SBC in an IROC camaro.

The t56 is from a gto and Im not sure on the Small block chevy.

You'll need the LS1 bellhousing from a Fbody, a custom flywheel (1pc or 2pc RMS), and utilize the Hyd setup from an LS1 fbody. Would be best to change the shifter cup over from an LT1/LS1 T56, and use any Fbody stock/aftermarket shifter. You'll need to verify the pilot bearing is fully engaged during a mockup.

You can use a LS1 based T56 with your factory GM standard passenger car bellhousing and clutch set up . All you need is the steel adapter plate sold on Ebay for $2xx.00 .
