Lightbulb Motor Oil In Transmission?

Has anyone ever heard of using 5-30 or 5-20 motor oil in there m6? i read about it in a couple Hot Rod Magizine issues. Has anyone ever done this in here? Would anybody recommend doing this instead of using atf?

It will ruin the fiber blocker rings in a jiffy.. While gear/motor oil was used in the older transmissions, they had brass blockers which needed the heavy fluid. Just say no....

Call the editor of the Hot Rod Magazines & ask if the author was smoking crack when motor oil was suggested.

use only ATF DEX III rated fluid.
