2002 6 speed problems
2002 6 speed problems i have been having trouble with my o2 ta tranny 6 speed when i go into reverse it wont let me go in sometimes and sometimes it grinds or pops out what could it be and what do i have to buy to fix it.

well i have a fairly new spec3 clutch about 25k on it lol but my clutch squeals bad taking off in first most of the time but doesnt in any other gears i have lugged it trying to get it to slip i am going to change the fluid see if that helps how many quarts do they hold.

I would definately make sure its going all the way into gear first . You can usually check this by turning the engine off and putting it into reverse . Start the car up and let off the clutch . If it pops out , you have an issue with the trans . If it does not then you have an issue with the clutch .

I would start with the fluid mine was doing the same except not popping out of gear. I bled my clutch a few times it goes in fine now but I,m pretty sure my hydralics need to be replaced.

You'll have to pull the tranny and open it up and inspect the reverse gearset, slider, fork, etc. My friend had the same issue and it was pretty messed up in there.
I wouldn't delay too long either. The longer he waited and the more he drove it, the worse it got. I think he was continuing to damage parts.
