Default Need some help, kinda bad.....

Ok guys and gals heres the deal, clutch went out, It was a centerforce dual friction, lasted roughly 30K pretty rough miles lol.

Well its time for a new clutch, i was thinking about a spec3+ but im also thinking that may be a lil to much for my car.

My car is a daily drove cammed z28, she only put down about 390hp/390tq. So its nothing completly retarded high. But i was thinking that since its a DD that a spec3+ might be a lil much, and im not going with another centerforce, heard way to many bad things about them. So my question is, what would be for what i have ?

Future plans DO include heads and some spray, BUT that might not come till well later on down the line and im not gonna cross that bridge till i come to it.

Only reason im posting instead of searching is cause im at work all day and i RARELY have tim eto do any kind of research, BUT i do have JUST enough time to post this here. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Given your plans I'd go with a 3+ or something similar.

If you think Centerforce has a bad rap, spec is also getting so bad feedback, you may want to look into the Monster clutches, 30K "hard" miles on a clutch isn't bad, clutches can only take so much for so long, then they go bye-bye if you dog the **** out of them, i think a spec 3+ would be the least i would get if you go that route, especially if your stepping up the heads & adding Nos, maybe go onto the Monster clutch site & check out the stage 4, its rated for some high levels of HP, & they come with flywheels.

If u DD the car go w/ a textrallia! I loved mine....near stock stiffness and engaugement. It can def. handle the power level.
30k miles on a clutch is good tho! The spec 3+ had a stiff pedal, can be a pain to DD.

ya it got right at 30K on the Centerforce, the pedal was pretty stiff, but i like it that way, i dont like easy pedals

I drove a buddy's H/C Corvette the other night with the LS7 clutch and wow...talk about a nice clutch. I'll be interested to see what kind of abuse that clutch can handle.
