Spec Twin vs Tex Exo-Skel-If you have had both, please comment
If you have driven with both clutches, please tell me in your opinion the strengths and weaknesses of either one. Only people with direct experience with both need comment.
I put half of my miles on my C5 Z06 on road courses and have in the vicinity of 500 rwhp and torque. My Cartek clutch exploded last week at 6200 rpm on the back straight at PBIR and fortunately there were no injuries. This time I want a twin plate and will also install a scattershield.
They are roughly the same price and the Spec seems to be the "in" dual disk on the Corvette forum right now, whereas last year it was the Textralia. I'm curious which of these two has better build quality.
