Good luck buddy. I had 2 exoskels slip bad on me. First one died in 4 passes with the last one being a 640 rwhp/ 675 rwtq nitrous run. It came apart in 4th gear. They sent me another one, it started slipping on motor 500 rwhp. This was only after giving me the run around for 3 months. The 2nd one was rebuilt after another 3 months of unreturned calls and emails. Mcloed twin now and haven't looked back.

unlucky mate. the owner of textralia Pete advised me not to use a exoskel and go for the Z grip. But still the guys a plumber not a fitter or mechanic, I thought he would be better returning calls too.

I measured the disc's themselfs, they measured from .296" to .300". Then I measured my friends new Exo-Skell discs and it measured from .310"-.313" So technically I worn about .010"-.015" of material. Why wouldnt they be enough clmp pressure. I hate that my car is out of order.

i dont know man. either the pressure plate isnt putting down the clamp load it should, the shims arent right (does it use shims?, or the thing isnt engaging all the way. is there excessive wear on u throwout bearing?

It was replaced when the clutch was installed,it looks practically new with dust over it.It doesnt have a shim on the the slave, when I first installed it, I had about about 1/8" 3/16 clearance.I dont know man hopefully somebody or Tex can help me.Could I have a bad presure plate? The car drives fine under no load but as soon as you roll the throttle to full power it just slips.

I had a similar problem. I had about 500 miles and about 5 passes on mine before issues. Seems there was a design issue with the floater plate. The holes wrap around the pins too much. As the plate heats up, it expands and gets stuck. Talk to Jarrod. They were very good at helping me.

I needed a replacement overnight, so I ordered a different brand, but would have no issues putting another Exo back in.

Look at this picture, the area in blue is what needs to be ground off. Or, get a newer style plate.

But where do I get a plate,I cant get a hold of anybody from Tex. My friends and I were thinking the disc are okay and so is the flywheel,we also think the problem is the floater its is heated up and theres some material on it,we were thinking into sanding the floater on both sides and reinstalling to see what happens.

The floater plate hanging is exactly what mine was doing. Sucks you can't get ahold of anyone, but it is the holidays. Just bug the **** out of Jarrod, he will call ya back. lol Really good guy, just a lil overwhelmed at times I think. I gave up on Pete, he forgot how to use a phone I think.

I'd clean up the floater plate where it slides over the post, clean the surface up and slap it back in.

Open that thumbnail picture I posted above. The blue highlighted part is what you need to grind off. You should be able to do that with a grinder or even a dremel. Basically, you are making the hole look like a 'U' instead of a 'C'.

Might need to get the pressure plate and flywheel resurfaced if they are warped and have the whole thing balanced.
