Default Which Textralia Do I need?

I have a Spec 3 that just went out. I hated its super heavy pedal feel. I want to go with a Textralia but I'm not sure if I should look for a new or slightly used OZ700 Z-grip or just go ahead and move up to the twin disc EXO-Skel. I am making close to 650 rwhp on spray right now, but when I move up to boost in the next year, I should be over 800 rwhp. I have heard that the EXO actually has an even lighter pedal feel than the already light OZ series. Is this true?

my OZ700 felt like stock but engaged a little quicker. i was "only" making 452rwhp, through a 9"/M6, but it never flinched. it was pretty stout.

If you plan on clearing 700hp, i'd get the EXO SKEL, but good luck. i'm pretty sure they're still out of stock everywhere. i haven't checked lately, but i'm sure that's the case. If you can't find one, i'd look into Monster clutches. i've heard good things about them and they're priced competitively

That much power I would go exo-skel and not worry. If not it may be a 1k dollar mistake.

Exo-Skel here... The pedal pressure is lighter than stock... The entire clutch unit barely weighs anything too.

Just go ahead and move up to the EXO-Skel, you will be glad you did when you go up in boost.

I checked out the Monster clutch website. They seem like some pretty kick *** clutches. They have a single disc they say can hold 900 hp. DAMN!!!! They didn't seem to have any info on their twin discs though, but I know they make them. I really want a good twin disc for a decent price, but I also need the piece of mind that it will be a quality product. Textralia was certainly the must have twin disc last year, but there might be some others of equal quality out now for a lower cost.

I made a similar inquiry, I phoned Textralia and asked them if a 0z700 z-grip would handle 500 rwhp and it sounded like that is about the limit... I'm still on the fence if whether or not I should go with z-grip or go twin disk...

How are the McCloud or Spec dual discs compared to the Textralias?

McLeod from what i hear, are pretty chatter-prone and SPEC are hit or miss on holding together. I'd go to great lengths to have a Textralia in my car, even if it meant prolonging the build a couple months. i've heard great things about their customer service, pre and post-sale, as well.

stangslayer98, a Z-grip is what i had and what you want. the X-grip is "more stock-like" but still a great clutch. the Z-grip is a 6-puck design with a little different friction material i believe. My car made 452rwhp through the 9", so that's like what, 475ish in a 10-bolt car? my clutch handled all kinds of torture and never gave me any trouble, never chattered, and never slipped. a member on here just bought it and will be installing it soon. i sold it to avoid destroying it with my 454 i'll be installing.

Exo-Skels aren't available right now and likely won't be available any time soon. We don't even offer them on our site any more.

If you're stuck on a twin, Check out our offerings from SPEC.

McLeod and RAM both offer twin discs, but I don't deal with either company.

Monster has a Twin Disc in the works - make sure you contact them as well.
