Default Clutch pedal spring broke?

Tonight I was moving my car and pushed the clutch pedal in and I heard a ting/snap sound. I got out of the car, look on my floor mat and saw what looks like a part of a spring.

It's about one inch long, curved one end and the other end has grease on it.

The clutch pedal goes in and out fine, should I worry?

I thought I heard of something like this a year or so ago on the net but can't remember what it was?

Any idea's?

Yeah, mine broke too, but stayed on the pedal. One end just snapped. I took it to the dealer and they ordered the part. I've been driving without it (since I haven't felt like going to the dealer) for quite a while and been ok, but I think it's best to get it replaced if you can. Instead of relying on the spring to help return the clutch pedal, you're relying soley on the hydrolics. I heard they have a new spring that is stronger to fix this common problem, but I'm not definitely sure on that.

mine broke as well and it has been many many miles since then with no issue. What sucked is mine broke during a race so it kinda scared me which is another reason why I didn't want another one on it. These things are notorious for breaking.

I;m on my 5th one and the dealer service manager knows me by my first and last names now.. they even got my car on record so whenever i drove up the service they can start typing out the work order ahahah but since it's under warrantee and i break them approx every 6000 miles.. so i guess they will forever service my camaro. oh btw the spring cost like $35 which is a rip off from the dealers.

Will the dealer replace mine as I have the same problem. But I have a pro 5.0 shifter and Longtube headers?

I went into the dealer with:

Long tube Headers
Hooker Cat-back with cutout
Lid, MAF, programming
Pro 5.0, Poly Trans mount
Moser 12 bolt with 4.10's, 3.5" driveshaft

And a bunch of other suspension/appearance mods.
They ordered the spring and will be installing it under warranty as soon as it comes in.

So yes, they should warranty you just fine .
