ls7 clutch for stock 01 ss?

Default ls7 clutch for stock 01 ss?

I'm bout ready for a clutch and was wonderin about the ls7 clutch. My car is all stock. I see a lot of people runnin ls2 flywheel, ls7 clutch. was also wonderin bout changin the master cylinder and slave cylinder.I got about 96000 mi and the pedal sucks to the floor wot if i got a buddy in the car with me or xtra weight

that clutch is great for the price. I would change the slave at the same time. You probably need to bleed the system

You wont really know until you pull the trans, to see if the slave is in good condition, but id change it anyway.. LS7 clutch is excellent. Holds up decent power. so its fine for your setup...

Call Tick performance and ask about their adjustable master while you're at it.

I usually recommend the LS7 clutch/LS2 flywheel combo for most street applications up to ~450rwhp. It's cheap and it works.

One thing to keep in mind - it was designed for the 06-up Z06 hydraulic system, which is much more efficient than stock 98-02 hydraulics. The hydraulic system will need to be upgraded at the same time to get the maximum amount of performance out of the setup. A stock slave and our Adjustable Master Cylinder kit will work nicely and shift as quickly as possible for you.
