Re: Change Tranny Fluid in a M6
It is pretty simple.
There is a drain plug and a fill plug
Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid into an appropriate receptacle.
Install the drain plug and torque it to20 ft/lb
Remove the fill plug and add Dextron III until the level is at the bottom of the fill plug. Takes about 4 quarts to fill.

The drain and fill plugs are both 3/8 just stick an exstension in there or a 3/8 rachet. The drain plug is on the Pass side rear of the trans, the fill plug is on the Driver side more toward the middle and about half way up the trans. If you dont have a pump you can remove the shifter and fill from there but you will need some RTV to reseal it. I use some thread seal on the drain and fill plug and get them tight never torqued them you dont have to get them crazy tight.

There are some pretty good pics of the fill plug. The drain plug looks the same, but is on the other side. If you look close, you can see that the FILL plug has the word FILL beside it. The drain plug has the DRAIN beside it if I remember correctly.
