Default clutch recomendations

ok im looking into new clutches and im on a tight budget. I'm thinking ls6 is what is gonna end up going in. Right now my mods are just cold air, catback, tb, and maf. But i plan on a mild cam and headers in the somewhat near future. Can anybody tell me anything about these clutches?

Between the two links. I would go with the first one.

The Luk is OEM, the Exede/Daiken is not.

Go with the LS7 clutch kit. Feels like stock and will hold a good amount of power.

I was thinking about getting the LS7 kit myself. The only thing that concerns me is the total setup weight being 8lbs heavier than the LS6 clutch.

Here's a sponsor link. The best deal around. Comes with p/p and flywheel bolts.

It looks like you found your new clutch.

My original Luk lasted over 75K miles.

LS6 clutch is built for a 405 hp car, LS7 is built for a 500hp car but 8 lbs heavier.
Don't mean the jack your thread here, but would the lighter and lower cost LS6 clutch hold 500 hp?

With the modifications in your signature, I can't image the LS6 clutch holding for long unless you drive on it easy. lol

Thanks for the input bear. Looks like an LS7 is best for me.
Silver, you may want to consider the same thing, with the weight of your car, and future mods, you need a strong clutch.

Cool racecar. That LS7 kit is a good bang for the buck.
Yes prjctSILVERKNIGHTy2k should consider the LS7 kit too.
