Default C6 vibration after clutch install

My friend's 2005 heads/cam corvette has a bad vibration after having a clutch installed. he has an aluminum flywheel and a carbon-ceramic clutch. There's a good amount of vibration when you rev it up in neutral and most noticeable on the highway around 4k rpm in 4th gear. any ideas what could be wrong?

Were the PP and Flywheel balanced before install?

No they were not. Is that necessary before installing them? How much vibration can that cause?

I'm guessing he has a fidenza, since that's the only company I know that does aluminum flywheels for C6 Vett'es. From what I've read, you should get the PP and flywheel balanced when using aftermarket stuff, unless it's said by the company it has been balanced. The LS7 setup is the only one I know of that doesn't "need" to be, although some do it for insurance sake. And yes, it will cause that kind of vibration.
