car runs and drives great. on wot quick shifts say from 1st to 2nd will shift great but 3rd or 4th will feel like a brick wall and clutch will stick to floor.
i have replaced fluid and preformed drill mod. should i replace master befor i order clutch?

also clutch will never slip if you can get it in gear.

Sounds like boiling fluid. Since you replaced the fluid the problem is probably heat from your clutch slipping. Mine did the same thing when it was time for a new clutch.

My car and my friends car both do the same thing (2k ws6). From what I've read its a combination of clutch fluid needing to be changed, Hydraulics needing to be changed to
01+ or tick master, and finally if running a stock LS1 clutch like me and him that needs to be changed, after that it should shift like a dream!

Wes302, are you still on the stock clutch? How many miles on it? How many miles since you added bolt ons & cam? Once you start modding your car the original clutch isn't going to last very long.

also make sure you have a slave from an 01 + 02 car. There is a problem with the 98-2000 slaves that also contributed to the sticking clutch pedal.

Def. get the Tick Master. I Love it. I originally put a new 01+ master cylinder setup when I installed my LS7 clutch and could never get it to work right. As soon as I put the heavier sprung Monster Clutch it barely even worked at all. It engaged at the bottom of the floor and would not allow me to shift into 3rd most of the time. I put the Tick MS in saturday and absolutly love it so far. It lets me shift everytime. I now feel so much more confident in my shifting.

I would put money on it that it is the MS. I and tons of other people I know have had this same problem. After time the stock master cylider starts to suck. You wont believe how much different the Tick feels. It's great and def. worth $300.

If it is not to late i would stronlgy recommend to look away from the zoom setup. I purchased this clutch about 6 months ago and my car is still not right. The trans has been in and out four times. I have been contacted by others with similiar problems to mine and it seems to be the clutch. I really regret the purchase. Being a senior in highschool and having to make my payments (car and insurance) and of course gas, i cannot afford to buy another setup right now so my car sits.....

A good bet is to upgrade the clutch and slave.

You said it was wet and tires were spinning but it shifted fine and on street tires it shifts fine. But, on MT drag radials you have problems. Here is a thought: maybe this is because in the rain/street tires your tires are slipping but with the DR that grip it makes the clutch slip and that heats up the slave and the fluid boils and what do you know, the clutch starts sticking and shifting hard.

i already installed the zoom clutch.the clutch is supposed to be good to 600lbs. so far working great with over 200 miles. have not tried any powershifts yet going to wait for some more miles on clutch. i also replaced the mc with a advance replacement. after i installed new clutch pedal was releasing off floor. after new m/c it releases near middle of travel.
