I've got a 2000 SS M6, an when you lay into it just rollin down the road any gear 3-6 an probably 1-2 but just am not noticing as much, anyhow when you put it to the floor it instantly redlines like the clutch is slippin or something else is?? It has a Spec 3+ clutch an billet flywheel with 01-02 hyrdraulics

That clutch is indeed toast, I have a buddy who likes to ride his clutch like a savage and has done that to multiple specs and 1 RAM HD.

Look at a textraila and a Tick perf adj master.

Cole, it is possible that the clutch is worn out. Of course, it is also possible that it has gotten grease, oil or hydraulic fluid on the disc which would cause it to slip too. What flywheel are you using and if it is the original was it resurfaced before installing the clutch? Let me know and I will be happy to ptovide more info. Thanks!

Hey man, I'm having the same problems (with the same clutch, to boot!)...mine lasted for two years before it started slipping like that, GET IT REPLACED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Is it becoming harder and harder to get going from a dead stop?

I'm having mine done on Saturday.

Measure the clutch disc thickness and let me know what you find. Ultimately if it has worn more than .020" then it is time for replacement. I know that may not sound like much, but in clutch life thousandths make a huge difference.

As a side note, the stage 3+ had a starting thickness of .340" until Feb.8th, 2008 at which point the starting thickness was increased to .350" as a result of an increase in carrier thickness. I hope this info helps. Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
