using the evil skipshift for good???
and not really have to be thinking about down shifting and blowing my motor. It can probably be changed if you take that lever off the trans, weld up the slot and make a new slot/ridge to keep it out of 1-2 if the solenoid is energized but to get the lever out the case has to come off the trans. Most people probably wont want to deal with that..

Install the skip shift resistor in the wiring harness.
Wire in a switch that hooks up to the CAGS solenoid. It is easiest to tap into the cigarette lighter power under the console and run the wiring through the shifter hole. Hook the switch up in a convenient location like on the dash, shifter or console.
Now when you are racing, energize the CAGS solenoid after shifting into 3rd gear. At this point you won't be able to shift into 2nd gear.

this will turn on skip shift just before the 3-4 shift and enable you to not miss 4th to 2nd.. then goes off shortly after you enter 4th.

my car wont start right now (no heads) but i would try it if it did!i heard about your party, car will be going back together middle of next week, but then going away for a while after that.. so it won't be in attendance. sorry/
