Alright, so here's the story. Driving home the other night I went to shift into 4th gear and it produced that horrendous grinding noise (you know, the kind you hear when someone who can't drive stick tries for the first time), and a noticeable shake in the handle. Soon after I smelled what I believe to be the clutch. It only happens when shifting into fourth though, no other gear. Along with that, I hear a nasty *** rattle in the rear end even going over the slightest of bumps. I'm taking the car in tomorrow, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any guesstimates on what this might be. Thanks for the help.
