I am getting a new Textralia Exo-Skel twin disc put in to replace my blown out Spec 3. Someone suggested that I should go ahead and put in a fresh slave cylinder while I was in there. My current slave cylinder has about 5k miles on it. Is is really necessary to change this right now too or am I good to go ahead and reuse the same one? My pedal still feels really firm, even with the slipping clutch.

If you can't do the work yourself then I'd replace it just to be sure. You don't want to have to pay someone to drop the tranny again just to replace the slave.
But if you want to take the chance then I'd say your definitely ok with only 5k.
