455 pontiac to t5?

Default 455 pontiac to t5?

I have a t5 from a 94 v6 camaro, i know it wont hold to much for too long but its just laying around. so im wondering if its possible and if any one can give me some info.

You can use a BOP standard bellhousing but the issue is the 93-up Camaro T5 used a Ford main case thus having a Ford bolt pattern . You could have the bellhousing redrilled I guess but the gear ratio on that unit is pretty low and not much good behind a 455 cubic inch engine .

if you never, ever, ever hit the gas, you might get by. WC T5s were rated to hold little more then 300lbs of torque. a vintage pontiac 455 makes WAY more torque then any stock T5 can handle. depending on the year, you could have over 500 lbs of torque. thats the reason you couldnt get a 350 and stick in 3rd gens......the 350s had more torque then the factory T5 could handle.
