Explain T-56 to me? Im new

Im tryin to learn all i can, explain what is special about the t-56.

Not really "special", but its probably one of the top 5 manual trannys ever offered in a production vehicle. Pretty tough, even in stock form, and 6 forward gears. One of the better options from GM.
