Default tolerance tranny-driveshaft

How much play is it allowed between tranny and driveshaft?
I can move the driveshaft almost 2 mm vertically and I think is't too much!
The yoke bearings are ok, it's the piece that is inserted in the tranny than can be moved that much.
I'll have to check if it's ony the driveshaft or the tranny outlet that moves.

Thanks

Stefano

The slip yoke that inserts into the transmission should be movable very very little.

You will see some play in the u-joint that allows the driveshaft to be moved however.

Thanks!
Do you know if it's the output shaft that holds the yoke in place or the bushing in the tail of the tranny?

best case I just need to replace the bushing (a reinforced version is avaible).
worst case I need to replace the output shaft bearing, maybe the seat has become bigger or the shaft is ruined
