Shifter to T56 Bushing Question

Does anyone make a brass or bronze bushing to replace the stock plastic POS bushing?

Any and all info is appreciated,

Yes, I think Gearbox offers one. We personally never use them but they are available. Its the same as the one for the T5.

i just did this 2 months ago. My hurst billet shifter didnt seem to engage far enough into the bushing, when shifting hard under power the shifter would jump out of the cup, and get hung up on the outside of the plastic bushing. I made a new bushing out of aluminum with a 1/8" lip on the top. No problems since and it shifts great! A bit more noise is transferred up the shifter though

Yes thats the reason the factory made it out of plastic. Making it out of a metalic material will definately increase the noise in the stick.

it was totally worth it to not have to worry about it anymore, the car is so loud whats another noise anyway!
