I was told by six speeds that most of the problems w/ the f-body t-56 was the materials used for the shift forks and maybe the blockers(?). Once those parts and others are changed it's more like 600+. Sounds like the 6060 is a better designed transmission but the t-56 is no slouch. It's pretty amazing they do as well as they do.

Ok reading about this new magnum t-56, is it a direct bolt for an F body? As in disconnect wires/driveshaft, drop tranny, bolt up new tranny, attatch wires/driveshaft and drive off? There has to be something else going on a direct bolt on would be too simple.

The situation with the magnum is the output shaft is different than
the F-body, other than that, it's supposed to be a direct swap.
This mean you would need a different driveshaft yoke.
