Reverse Lights come on Slammin 3rd Even since I put this RST in my car and bleed the clutch (I also did alot of motor mods), almost every time I go to slam 3rd it feels like the fork is hittin the synco and that's it. Outside of the car the reverse lights come on and I dont get it. Dlove Bleed the clutch for me so I don't believe that's the problem, I couldn't see it being a bent fork or she wouldn't even go into gear at all.
I have a video I'm uploading from the track a couple weeks ago when it happened.
Anyone else had this problem?

anyways, do you have shifter stops on your shifter? I know they say you dont need them but when I had a stock tranny that would happen to me, so I put in the stops and it stopped doing it...
your problem could be different..

Yea, this happened to me last year when i was at the track. I slammed into 3rd gear and it got stuck in gear. When i came back my friends told me that i put my car into reverse but i know i didn't. Nothing happened to my car so i'm not really worrying about it.

The ONLY way you can power the reverse B-U lamps is to hit the reverse linkage. You ARE missing the 3rd gate( & 5th as well) and spanking reverse. Be glad it only clashed and did not get into reverse. The fix is to work on finding the gate better on a quick shift.Some aftermarket shifters actually create a problem because the way they make the shorter throws places the gates too close together.

I have seen the reverse lights come on a lot of times in 6spd cars going down the track...
I don't know if its a electronics glitch when shifting hard into 3rd, but I have seen it at least a dosen times. Not sure if my car does it, because I am inside when it going into 3rd, lol no one has told me that it has happend...
The oply mount has nothing to do with it, I have had one for years and never had a problem...

This is normal, alot of cars do this. Your triggering the lights to come on from tapping the reverse sensor. It does not mean its going to go in reverse accidently. Hope this helps.

It's not normal when it wont go into gear, also say i'm in forth and Wanting to downshift....sometimes she doesn't wanna go into 3rd at a high RPM... which kinda makes me think it's a Sycro

Sorry, I didnt mean its normal to not go into gear. Its the reverse lights I was refering to. If its not going into gear "easily" you have a problem. Are you running factory hydrolics still?

I think there is some common electrical glitch in mine, because I have been told that sometimes my reverse lights come on, sometimes my brake lights come on, once just the center brake light cam on, freaky... But for me it happens on all fast gear changes, somethings probably loose, who knows.
