I've been looking at the T-56 Magnum also, for my Goat. I would need the 2.97 unit to stay close to my stock ratios. I am SICK of killing 3rd and 4th syncros after a couple of powershifts. I have had the stocker rebuilt (under warranty) twice, and now it is out of warranty. I just want something that will hold up. Keisler Auto also sells them. Any oppinions on the best place to get one? I wouldn't even mind having my stocker rebuilt and upgraded if I could find someone that could do it right and stand behind a warranty.

Stronger casting, wider gears, double cone reverse gear blocker rings (no more brass-but this had been revised with late model t-56 variants), revised synchro teeth to make for shorter throws, revised shift detent, one piece countershaft. There's some good revisions to tremec's new transmission, but the T-56 has by no means been overshadowed, it's as much of an evolution as the Gen III 5.7 to Gen IV 6.0 was. Like thesource said, the biggest plus to the tr6060 coming out will be to watch T-56 prices fall.
TR6060 2009 Model Year Summary, 2008 is basically the same

Yes it was a 5k dump with a Mcleod Street Twin on MT 275/60-15 DRs with a nice 2nd gear burn out at 16psi.
FLT is working on it right now and that was the only thing broken.
I would of sent it to you but it cost just a bit less than you(only because of shipping) and im in a time crunch. I didnt have the cash for the viper shaft so I hope this one holds up for a while.
