D&D told me they got 20 units in. ten 2.97 and ten 2.66. when i called them to tell them they sent the wrong trany they said they still had two 2.66 tranys there. so they were shipping it out. so i hope i see it first thing monday. but still waiting on motor so not like a rush.

only rush i have is i sent my stock t-56 to six speed inc on april 15 2008. and havent had a trany since. (**** you edward and amber) but i filed with th texas courts with them so i should be getting money back. just the rest sucks. also "source" if i get my core back you want to buy it? lol

I've been looking at the T-56 Magnum also, for my Goat. I would need the 2.97 unit to stay close to my stock ratios. I am SICK of killing 3rd and 4th syncros after a couple of powershifts. I have had the stocker rebuilt (under warranty) twice, and now it is out of warranty. I just want something that will hold up. Keisler Auto also sells them. Any oppinions on the best place to get one? I wouldn't even mind having my stocker rebuilt and upgraded if I could find someone that could do it right and stand behind a warranty.

Stronger casting, wider gears, double cone reverse gear blocker rings (no more brass-but this had been revised with late model t-56 variants), revised synchro teeth to make for shorter throws, revised shift detent, one piece countershaft. There's some good revisions to tremec's new transmission, but the T-56 has by no means been overshadowed, it's as much of an evolution as the Gen III 5.7 to Gen IV 6.0 was. Like thesource said, the biggest plus to the tr6060 coming out will be to watch T-56 prices fall.

TR6060 2009 Model Year Summary, 2008 is basically the same

Thats rare but possible. Did you have drag radials on the car?

Yes it was a 5k dump with a Mcleod Street Twin on MT 275/60-15 DRs with a nice 2nd gear burn out at 16psi.
FLT is working on it right now and that was the only thing broken.
I would of sent it to you but it cost just a bit less than you(only because of shipping) and im in a time crunch. I didnt have the cash for the viper shaft so I hope this one holds up for a while.

Drag radials are hell on manual transmissions. I see busted up Vette T56 units all the time from running on drag radials.

Sort of but not really. They plug directly into the diff. I see them break the tailhousing where it bolts up to the diff and snapped the output shaft in two.
