Need help removing the T-56 tail housing?
I'm trying to remove the tail housing from the transmission to replace the bushing. I guess it's difficult to separate it because of the sealant. The transmission is out of the car.
Is there a trick? I'm afraid to damage it since it's soft aluminum. I'm trying to wedge something in the small spaces but they are so small it's tuff to get something in there.
Thanks

I usually take a small ball peen hammer and hit the corner of the area where the transmission mount bolts on. Its pretty solid there and you can hit it on both sides of the housing to break it loose.
