Default HELP!!! Reverse synchro Key retainer???

I am trying to finish putting my tranny together and I cant really get the retainer to fit onto the synchro. does it just sit there or should it actually fit onto the center hub of the syncro?

Its suppose to fit kind of snug on the center of the hub but some do not. You can bend it a little bit here and there to make it work. The main thing is for the tabs to be inline with the keys and not bent out too far. You don't want the keys to jump over the top of the retainer plate.

As far as I rememeber from by build, the retainer plate just sits on there like you have it.

Exactly. It shouldn't be falling off, but its not press fit or anything either.
