Question about fluid and shift pad w/ photos
Are the particles in the fluid of the carbon blocker rings?
Is this bronze fork pad look like normal wear or is this a result of another problem?
The t56 was rebuilt and was tough to get in gear, the pro 5.0 shifter may have had the stops adjusted wrong, but was wondering if any of you had any other thoughts.
Going back into a little track car.
Thanks,
James

Not normal wear on that bronze pad.. Something going on there..
Are the fluid particles magnetic? I imagine not. Was any black RTV used to seal the case ? (looks like a little excess gray RTV on the midplate) If it's not ground up RTV, I would suspect it's friction material. Check all the needle bearings also.
