Default Clutch hose question..

I have the whole drivetrain out while I build the engine I'm going through the trans and rear but, my question is if I replace the hydraulic clutch hose with something aftermarket do I still need to do the drill mod?

in theory no, since the restrictor is built into the factory hose, but why would you want to replace the line with an aftermarket piece? I'm not sure you'd even find something compatible with the factory slave, nor would you really gain anything significant
