I don't think grandma would be able to drive my car, it be cool though. The seats alone are a problem for her and my mom, they don't like bucket seats. So you swap your Spec for an LS6 just for drivablity? That's the one thing I'm trying to avoid. I don't mind exhaust noise, but I don't want to hear clutch/gear whine. I want it like I want my women; lady in the streets, freak in the sheets...but in a cars point of view. Drive well and able to get on it if I need to

So far I am very happy with the Monster Level III. Almost done with the break-in miles and then it's headed to the track where the real testing will begin.

I believe Mikey97Z got his @ 2-3 weeks ago., but there are ALOT of Monsters out there now with 10K, 15K, 20K+ miles on 'em. You can do a search in this forum if you want to do a little "history" project on 'em You will be very happy with your results.

3. Light weight flywheel hopefully that comes with the clutch, I'm looking at sales
4. Tick adj M/C
5. Remote bleed
6. New shifter, MGW look and sounds nice w/ classic white Ball

Let me know if I'm missing something??
Sounds like you have most everything.

The shifter will be a matter of personal preference.

I found no use for the remote bleeder but that's me.

I prefer the stock Hurst short shift base, Lou's short stick, Classic Hurst ball type handle.

Let Gen414 answer your questions regarding thier clutch packages.
This way you can make an informed decision.

LOL,,,, I installed the clutch about a month ago. This isn't my daily driver so it's taken a little awhile to get some miles on it. Clutch seems to hold very well so far but the upcoming track day will tell me more about it's holding capabilities.

Clutch would go out Monday or Tuesday, and if going to NY, then you are looking at 3-5 days after that you will get it.

yes i know RAM does but stock oem gm unit is fine they havent had any issues at all and i bet 99% of people on here will agree with staying with stock slave now the master cylinder is another story... during high rpm shifting the stock one affects the way the car shifts and alot of mis-shifts may occur because of it (i know from experience) i upgraded to the tick performance master and there braided bleed line and have had no trouble. the specs are great clutches. they are what most people on the board use. you will hear some up and down feedback about them but more good than bad and most problems that happen with them are due to non proper break in and or installation. BTW i daily drive my car with the spec 3+ IT WORKS!! hope this helps!

what i purchased was when i did my clutch replacement was...

Spec 3+
Spec Billet Steel Flywheel
Tick Adjustable Master
GM Slave
GM Pilot Bearing
ARP Bolts
Braided Clutch Line
Blowproof Bellhousing (Just In Case)

Yes, Ram makes one, but as stated, it is the MC that gives us the fits.

Well I made my decision...dum, dum ,dum

I went with a stage 3.5 premium package from monster clutches and a Tick Performance MC. originally when I first came into the LS community I was certain I would get a Spec, but is has been years and doing a lot of reading. its nothing against Spec, I think there a great company and wish them well. I think the package deal was a great opportunity and im happy with my decision.

Man, I'm jealous that you're getting a Monster Clutch. LOL

I think you made a wise decision, who's going to install it ?

Jealousy was bound to happen sooner or later, It would be me and my uncle that will be installing this, as well as the Tick Adj MC. which reminds me that I have to get a can of ATE super blue. and thanks to the members and sponsors for helping decide on what to get.

I was joking about the jealousy part but I'm glad you made the right decision.

I'm curious to see how it all turns out.
