Need Clutch ASAP
I in the market for a new clutch fairly soon as mine is giving way, my car is stock but I do plan on getting engine work/ or new engine in the future. I need something that is streetable, and only have to purchase once. a few other things Ill be taking care of while the transmission is out, I.E. new slave, tick adj master, MGW shifter, remote bleed etc. I been hearing great thing about Monster , trextralia<<< spell check, Spec. I can use some advice. thank you LS1 techies.

I had a Spec 2 clutch for a while it was a stiffer than stock clutch. There was nothing really wrong with that clutch. I switched to a LS6 clutch. It has a more stock feel. Something that a old grandma could drive. I like the LS6 clutch over the Spec for driveablity and over all feel. If you are looking for a stiffer clutch go after market. It all really depends on your goals.

I love my LS7 clutch but my next clutch will be a Monster Stage 1.5 or Stage 2.
The Monster clutches are a quality product, there is no doubt about it.
If you have questions you can contact Gen414 and/or Steve at SNL Performance. They are both on LS1Tech quite frequently.

What are your overall power goals for the car?
When looking for a more streetable clutch you'll want a full faced clutch (as opposed to 6 puck) such as a textralia oz700 X-grip or one of the level .5 monster clutches.
The full faces engage smoother but can still hold the power. It sounds like you're on the right path with your hydraulics as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

well I started the morning parking my car on the opposite side of the street due to the street cleaners that come and sweep the streets in the morning, (NYC residents know this) it was a little difficult, clutch was sticking to the floor had to turn if off because I was stuck in gear.. so I left it and went to work....
fast forward a few hours ....
its a wrap, the clutch is done. it wont even go into any gear at all. im not overly pissed off but it F#$%ing sucks ***, I was hoping it would at least make a trip to the shop where It would be taken care of but she gave in, first it was Ed McMahon, then it was Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson a few hours after that. the sky look like it was burning in NYC for those who saw the sun set this evening, and now my clutch, WTF?? ahhhh

But seriously, I would really consider one of the Monster clutches.
They put alot of investment, R&D, time into thier products.
The Monster has proven itself in the real world as well.
BTW ... I'm not a salesman for them.
