Default B&M Ripper install

I just installed a B&M Ripper in my car, and wow, huge difference. It is the only mod on the car right now, which is fine because it is a daily driver and the idea behind it that I wasn't going to mod it into unreliability like all my Thirdgens
I know a lot of people like the Pro 5.0, but I already have the B&M lying around. I'll probably get a Pro 5.0 for my LS1/T56 swap.

Anyway, anyone new who is waiting, do the shifter!!

Congrats! One mod leads to another, and another, and another....

I love the Ripper. I had it in for a few years and then I tried the Pro 5.0, after about 5 minutes in my car I pulled it out. I think the Ripper is way better, just my $.02.

Peace,
Craig.

I also like the Ripper a lot more than than Pro 5.0. I've had the Ripper for a couple of years and thought about going to the Pro 5.0. After driving my friend's car w/ one I decided to stay with the Ripper.

I have the Pro 5.0, and wish I would have bought the B&M. Anyone wanna trade?

Wow, in most of the polls it seemed that the Ripper was the underdog. I would recommend the Ripper, but being I have nothing to compare it with besides the shifter in my 88 TA and the stock shifter in the 00 TA, I can't compare it.
I'll have to find a Pro 5.0 car to drive before I decide.

I replaced the stock shifter in my previous 98 Z with a ripper and absolutely loved it.

I bought my current car with a Pro 5.0 already installed. I bought a Lous short stick and I disliked it even more. I removed the LSS and cut the Pro 5.0 down an inch and made a slight bend and I think it's as good as it's going to get.

At first I kind of liked the notchiness (is that a word) of the Pro 5.0 but I am thoroughly tired of it now. I wish I had my old ripper in this car. I never missed the 2-3 shift with that shifter.

I really miss my old B&M shifter.

I have to say that I really like my ripper. 100% better than stock. I haven't used the 5.0 so I can't compare it.

I had the Ripper first. I swapped it out for the 5.0 and it has never felt better.

I read about how much everyone loved the Pro 5.0 and LSS so I just had to have one.

It was a quality piece but it just didn't feel right to me. It was just too short for my taste.

I guess everyone has their own personal preference as to what kind of "Feel" they like or dislike. Not unlike peoples taste in ladies

I have the pro 5.0 and I think it is great it is really sturdy. My buddy has the ripper it is also a great shifter but does'nt feel as tough for the 1-2 slams down the track.
