Is this the Master Cylinder or something else?
While doing regular street driving in the Z, I have absolutely no problems with the clutch or anything else. However, If i really get on in and take the car past 4000 or so RPM, and quick shift (not powershifting) through the gears, then the clutch pedal seems to lose all pressure, but it DOES NOT stick to the floor. I just had the Master Cylinder replaced less than a year ago, along with the slave cylinder and clutch (all stock components), so I'm not sure how it could have gone out that quickly, because I don't drive it hard much at all on the roads, and have only made about 40-50 track passes on it (only 10 with sticky tires). Also I didn't start having this problem until I had my broken 4.10 gears replaced recently, but I'm sure that wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it?
I've asked this question before (without as much detail) and almost everybody said master cylinder, but I needed to double check before I replace something that may not fix the problem.
If it is the master cylinder, could the problem be fixed by doing the "drill mod" I've read about?
If it's not the master, then what else could it be?
And/Or what are some less expensive options that might fix the problem for now (check/replace the hydraulic fluid, etc.)?
Thanks again for the help guys,
Ryan

The drill out mod will help you with your issues. Also, did you replace the clutch with a new stock clutch, or used one? Reason I ask is, I threw a used one with very low miles in my car, and had the same thing happen. Masters really don't wear out, but slaves will. Try the drill mod first, then get back.

It was a new unit.
I'll give the drill mod a shot and I'll probably drain the fluid and put in a some good new stuff.
This sound like a good place to start with everybody else?
