Unhappy I must have 1200 horsepower

I must have 1200 horsepower. You ask how can that be?

The car hasnt run 9s!
The car hasnt made wheel stands!
The car hasnt dynoed 1200 horsepower!
The car hasnt even trapped 200mph!

But I have tore apart a second Twin Disc that is rated for 1200 horsepower. This clutch only lasted 4 runs!

So i must have 1200 horsepower. It must be a new record for something.

I AM BENDER!

I had a customer recently that busted a single disk setup the same exact way your's looks like. The car had only 500 miles on the clutch. We sent it back to Mcleod and they were dicks about it.Finally after threatening them that there products were crap and we'd bash them everywhere they sent us a new setup for free.

From what I hear alot of there Organic disks are blowing like that.

This post was for fun. Mcleod is taking care of the clutch. It could be just a bad material. I was on the phone with them and they explained to me the situation they are in. The disc material is made by one company(RAy Bestos) The only maker of the material in the country. So Mcleod and all the other drag clutch makers have to deal with them. They had a sit down with them on the QC. Ray Bestos said the sales of the material is less that 15 of there sales and told them to deal with it. Amazing how they dont care about it. So Mcleod and all the others have to eat it.
Hey its racing!

Thanks Barry.I still don't see why they gave us a real hard time about it then?
BTW-The replacement that they sent is already slipping again. The car is only 410hp and is street driven.Should be fun when this 1 is gone by 1000miles.I got mine over a year ago and have 10k miles and over 60 passes on it and doesn't slip at all.
