Weird clutch problem

Weird clutch problem My clutch will work fine when I first use it, but if I hold it down for a little while the pressure bleeds out and Its tough if not impossible to get it in or out of gear. I tried using a mightyvac to bleed it with a little improvement but in the end it just ended right back to the same ol problem. Any thoughts or personal experiences on this? Thanks in advance.
Have you checked the fluid color? If it is dark or discolored then I suggest startring with a flush and refill. Also, it is worth checking the routing of the hydraulic lines as they pass the headers too. If they are not behind the heat sheild they should be. And, I suggest wrapping the lines in a good heat wrap to better prevent boiling of the fluid in the future. So, check these things and let us know. Thanks,

The car has 80,000 miles on it with all original equipment. The color of the fluid is kind of dark and not clear, what is the best way to change out the fluid completely?
I recommend using a mighty-vac, connected to the bleeder which is located just off the slave cylinder. You would need a second person to keep an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir, adding new fluid as needed. Draw the fluid out until you see clean/clear fluid passing into the vac. This is pretty simple, but it really helps to be thorough so make sure that you cycle plenty of fluid through the system. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

Spec hit it on the head...change/flush fluid, wrap/check lines, re-check. If still same problem, chances are with 80K miles, MC and or slave are on their way out teh door my friend.
If you pull tranny to replace slave, you MIGHT want to consider a clutch replacement at that time.

Any update to this? I've been having similar problems and I wrapped my clutch line and it helped some but didn't fix the problem. I'm still on the stock 98 master but my slave was swapped last summer when the LS7 clutch was put in.
