i believe you have to call MGW directly for the camaro/trans am t56 shifter.

+1 for the MGW. It's up there in price but you can't beat it. Good centering springs, SHORT throws, and overall build quality and what made my decision. Yea, you have to call and order it. They have a great customer service and if you have any problems with the install, give em a ring and they won't hesitate to lend a helping hand over the phone. Top quality in my opinion.

I paid $210 shipped I want to say. Like I said, it's up there, but to me it was worth it. Only missed the 2-3 shift once and that was me being an overconfident *****. If you can find someone in your area that has one and will let you try it out then do that. I'd hate to see you spend the money and not like it like a lot of people do with personal preference items like shifters and whatnot.

I just bought a B&M Ripper Shifter from Summit for like 180 shipped. I like it, 1st, 3rd and 5th feel almost in the same spot but 2nd, 4th, and 6th are where neutral used to be. It makes wonders of difference with a weighted shift **** as well. Only thing I didn't like was the hardware they give you to install it with SUCK. Well, I just hate the fact that they give you ALLEN HEAD BOLTS. I just reused mine and it worked perfectly, but overall I really like it.

EDIT:

I didn't mean it comes with a shifter ****, I meant I bought one (hurst) and installed it.

Just to clear things up.

I haven't heard of anyone that has but it sounds like to me if you go with those you'll be hunting or rebuilding a transmission

Default Mgw

I just installed the MGW and it's sweet. Only thing I did not like is I had to cut the hole in the floor mounted boot larger but should not be a problem.

The extra spring tension to move the shifter over into 1st or 2nd should help eliminate 2 > 1st shifts. ? Course usually depends on driver ? LOL...
