Default swaping t-10 for t-56

b4 i say anything, yes i know this is for ls1's but i thought i'd ask anyway.

I have a 1982 trans am and i am going to put a carborated 350 in it and i want to get rid of my 4 speed manual for a 6speed t56 or a "heavy duty" t5, like the ones used from 88-98, altho they were only used in v-6's from 93-up. any info on wat trannys will work and wat mods will need to be done would be apreciated. thank you
